After Planting Young Grape Vines How Long Will It Take Till They Fruit?

A month ago, I was given half a dozen Muscat vines. They stand approximatly 1 metre (3 foot high) I`ve read up on where to and how to plant and followed the instructions exactly. They look well and producing loads of new shoots.
I know that they have a lot of growing to do first and have allowed sufficient space in height as well as width against a south facing old stone wall.
My personal guesstimation is that I might see a few bunchs next year but things will not stat getting exciting till the third year. Am I right or paddling down the wrong creek!

I would remove any blooms you get this year but let them stand next year. I have 2 grape viness in their third year that is completely covering a 18′X12′ pergola and loaded w/grapes.

My grandfather was always so good at this! I should have paid more attention but I think these links might assist you. He pruned the vines alot and at a specific time during the growing season. Also made some rocking red wine (never tasted it but family loved it) :-) )

Give them at least 3 years. Best to pull off any fruits that form before then. Some varieties take even up to 5 years to start producing. Well worth the wait, though.
