Should I try to plant a grape fruit tree?
I had a grapefruit, the other day and one of the seeds inside have been increasing. I put the fruit in a cup of water and its still growing. I live in Colorado, but I am thinking of the plant. How many trees take time to bear fruit?
Can the plant, but do not know what kind of tree that you are getting. Most citrus trees are grafted. This means that using a strong rootstock and type of citrus who are willing to develop grafted on it. You can go ahead and that the plant just to see what kind of tree is obtained if desired, may be fun. However, citrus trees do not grow out of Colorado. Do not plant in a pot and keep it inside near a window with lots of light. Good luck in your mini "science" project. Your best bet, if you have the space and light / heat factors, is to buy a tree of 4.3 meters and sometimes the size of and trees bearing fruit.
