Grape Growing Oregon

grape growing oregon
gardening, Oregon grape, can you tell me what you like?

I live in Zone 7 in the gold and I bought the collection, the only way I can go:), 5 1 gallong Mahonia. I grow tons of flowers and for years, but I am older and move the planting of shrubs and bushes, especially as conditons like the sun, where I want the plant, which will be in the shade until about 9-10 hours in summer, then get full sun all day., ????? says he likes acidic soil, I can eat this way? and said that grows 3-6 feet tall,:) The privacy here. I will take all the tracks to offer, but if you do not know personally Oregon grape please do not just send me the sites I've been there. Thanks

I'm in southwestern Idaho that therefore the conditions for growth identical:) Mahonia do especially well under or adjacent pines. Most front of my house is in the midst of pines up to three hours, then filtered the sun rest in the afternoon. These plants have been particularly one-gallon plants started, and within three years, rising 4 feet tall. I have five Oregon grape plants in my garden, 5-8 feet. The five are mixed with other shrubs and pine trees, and receive only several hours a day of sun. Most on the east side of the property for light am and noon in the shadow. Most on the west side are in the shade of the morning, afternoon and receive filtered sunlight. I suspect that the partial shade and acidic pine needles that have contributed to its height. The greatest success of Oregon vineyards over here seem to be in full sun partial. Oregon grape it will put some shooters ~ Unfortunately, I had little luck, shooters and dig roots for transplant elsewhere. With regard to fertilizers, I've never had cause pine needles. Once established, are extremely low tolerance ~ water during the summer, I only water mine once a month.
