Well table wines are made from vitis vinifera, native European grapes. Its best to buy the vines from a nursery. The nursery will make sure that all the vines are disease free and healthy.
Depending where you live determines the variety of grape vine you should buy. Different varieties do better in different climates. A good nursery can help you make that decision or you can do independent research before spending any money.
Once you have your vines plant them five to six feet apart in straight rows. The rows should be about ten feet apart. The first two years you have the vines in the ground you need to train the vines to grow straight up (vertical). Then train two buds to grow out (horizontal) along the first trellis wire. This is the main structure of the vine and almost everything else will get pruned away.
It takes four to five years for a grape vine to mature enough to grow grapes of wine making quality, but its a lot of fun and neat to show to friends.
Well to grow the grapes you will need cuttings from grape vines. You then root those cuttings in a moist sandy soil mix for about a year. Then transplant these to the ground about 6ft apart. water and fertilize like any other plant. Wait for a few years for them to grow large enough then build trellises for them to climb on. in a few more years they should be making grapes.
