Serve Your Beer in Style

If you’re trying to think of a gift idea for someone, and you know they enjoy beer, you might want to try this. It’s what’s known as a mini keg dispenser. And it’s essentially a little keg refrigerator that serves you cool draft beer ‘on tap’.

There’s the vinotemp beer dispenser, for instance.

It’s been created to perch very stably on either a table or counter. And it holds 5-liter sized mini-kegs of beer. (Just so you know, the typical keg cooler takes much larger kegs that hold as much as 15.5 gallons of beer at a time).

So how does it work?

For the most part, the vt beer dispenser pours beer in the same way a normal kegerator does. A supply of carbon dioxide gas is used to take beer from a keg to a glass. The gas also helps to regulate the actual pouring of the beer as well.

Of course, temperature is all-important in getting the taste of a beer “just right”. That’s why an adjustable digital thermostat comes attached to the kegerator. In this way, changing the temperature to match the beer you have is very straightforward.

And one distinguising feature the vinotemp mini keg beer dispenser has is the way it cools the beer. It uses what is called “thermo-electric” cooling, and there are two main benefits to this approach.

First of all, the whole system operates very quietly. When you have a keg cooler “on show” in a kitchen or living room, it’s reasonable to expect people will spend lots of time in these rooms. It can a distraction to hear a refrigerator going through the motions as it operates. So it makes sense to use a system that works without producing much noise.

And the second key advantage of thermo-electric cooling is this: It’s energy demands are much lower. So you get the benefit of lower electricity bills as well.

Ultimately, a vinotemp mini keg beer dispenser is an enjoyable, tasty and efficient way to serve up beer in your home. And of course, it makes a great gift too.
