From the looks of the fly strips, it appears that you may be concerned about flies. fruit flies? Anyway, I found a good way to combat those fuckers. There is an organic insecticide called azitrole that is used as a foliar spray, but you can also run it through your medium and kill any bugs in the soil. Then spread some diotomaceous earth on the top of your soil….bugs gone!

@Professorgreenthumb Yeh I keep Azatrol and use it from time to time. I am just afraid to use it in the medium since I don’t want to risk hurting my flowering plants. My SCOG mom has had some insect problems in the medium and I tried usualy Organicide, Azatrol and some other non organic killer all to no avail. So it looks ,like it is time to trash the mom. Its all good since I was gonnna trash it anyways to make room for my flood table.

@ESmokeDog I wouldn’t. Most synthetics don’t jive well with soil. I would use Fox Farm nutes when growing in soil. But that is just me.

If it helps you feel any better, I have completely soaked mu medium with azitrol, and I only saw benefits from it….It is a nitrogen based spray, it will not hurt your plants, however, I can see your hesitation. I was desperate at the time, so I did it, and it worked out great! Good luck to ya.

@Professorgreenthumb Thanks man. I will keep that in mind for later use. I have always liked Azatrol and like to keep it in my arsenal along with Avid, Floromite, Organicide, Pyrenthium, and Safer insect soap. Preventative measures are always best, but it seems I lost the battle with my SCOG mom. It was my fault really by not practicing what I preach.

@patjprice Yes I have. Unfortunately I have had bad luck with it. That stuff can be deadly toxic if used correctly.

Why have you switched over to the CNS17 Ripe completely for bloom instead of using CNS17 Bloom or Pure Blend Pro Bloom in conjunction with CNS17 Ripe towards mid bloom?

@Sedgwickcity A lot of growers that I know and trust have had good results so I decided to give it a try.
