Cordon Royat vs. Guyot Vine Training / Pruning / Taille

April 24th, 2012 9 comments

More at www.ovineyards.com Ryan and Joe O’Connell explain the differences between Cordon Royat (Spur) and Guyot (Cane) pruning. These are different methods to trim the vines back during the winter. They affect the eventual growth and yield of the plants in unique ways. Ryan and Joe explain why they are switching over to Cordon Royat at O’Vineyards. That loud noise is the very strong wind that is characteristic of the region. I edited it down a little, and it sounds like we’re underwater sometimes as a result. I’ll get a better mic one day, I promise!

Sour Grapes Cannabis Grow Part 25

November 26th, 2011 2 comments

www.OrganicGrapeGrowing.com Just wanted to make a correction to this video so please read! Instead of using CNS17 Ripe I decided to move back to CNS17 Bloom. Ripe and Bloom are both extracted from the same base minerals/chemicals the only difference are the ratios. I was noticing some nitrogen deficiency and wanted to address the issue in a more aggressive manner. The CNS17 Bloom is a 2-4-3 vs Bloom 1-5-4. That gives me the extra N boost that I want. Combined with a 2% N boost from the Cal/Mag plus I should be able to quell any issues with N. Even though I switched things up a bit I still added a healthy dose of Hydroplex (approx 3.3ml per gallon) and Silica Blast. Since the plants have been primed with plenty of fresh water I have no doubt that the plants will take the new food with little or no issues. Hope the info helps!
