Time Lapse Pumpkin Vines Growing

We plant this year’s pumpkins (seeds, shell, pulp and all) in winter for next fall’s harvest. We’ve included a time lapse view of the progress from late March to mid-October 2010.

The music is called “The First Hint of Autumn” by John Pizzarelli. Originally the video had Vince Guaraldi’s “Great Pumpkin Waltz”, but there was a copyright issue. Happy to report that this year’s pumpkins are well on there way. Thanks for checking out my video.

I really enjoyed this film and faved it. The time lapse was so cool. What was the blue thing in the background that kept popping in? A pool? Would love to see your current pumpkins and how they are doing.

The blue thing was indeed a wading pool. We bought for our pugs to cool down in last summer, but it spent more time blowing over and into my shot of the pumpkin patch. Thanks for the comment and good luck with your crop as well!
