Wachau Valley Austria The Wachau is a well known Austrian valley with a landscape of high visual quality formed by the Danube River. The Wachau begins just where the magnificent baroque Abbey of Melk arises on the southern bank. It extends up to the city of Krens 40 km downstream. The Wachau is part of the UNESCO World heritage, a wine growing area renowned throughout the world and one of the world’s most beautiful river valleys. It is characterized by a rich history and extraordinary wealth of cultural heritage. This unique work of art, in its entirety, is also a pleasure garden which has always inspired artists and thinkers alike. one of the most romantic and beautiful places in the world, the music makes it such a wonderful experience. I would recommend anyone travelling to austria to visit Salzburg and go on the Sound of Music Tour. Eat Veal Schitzel, Chocolates and Vienna Coffee, it will be a day to remember, Take Care
