Where Do You Get the Seeds to Grow Seedless Grapes?

    You don’t.

Grape vines are propagated by taking cuttings.

Grape vines do not breed true, that is why if you want — for example – another Chardonnay vine, you take a cutting from a Chardonnay vine.

The only time grapes vines are grown from seed is when they create a new variety by crossing two other varieties.

Another way of proagating a vine is bending one of the shots down to the ground and letting it start rooting. But that old fashioned method is no longer pursued because most vines are now grafted on special rootstocks as a deterrent against the vine louse phylloxera

I think seedless grapes are genetically modified.

    is this a joke?
u don’t grow grapes from seeds; u can only do that in special ameliorating study programs. it’s a special technique…
the method largely used is ‘altoire’ (stick joining –u do it early spring, way before bloom).where u combine 2 parts of 2 different wine plants = one for the root system, and the other one for the green, flowering, fruity part.
u have to keep the joining point like 2 cm. from the ground level and not allow any roots growing from the second part of the new formed plant.
seedless grapes are usually grown in warmer countryes. greece is well known for it..

    want aditional details..?
