Why People Have to Prune and Trim When Growing Grapes??

Growing Grapes – Grow Grapes – Growing Grape

It’s the same as with any plant. You prune and trim so that the vine doesn’t expend its energy producing too many side shoots, spurs etc, to the detriment of your final crop. You want the vine to concentrate its energy into producing grapes that are of good quality, and along the branches (canes?) that you want it to. Does this make sense?
